to celebrate my 25th Birthday today
and also to catch Kumar's show!

Soon the Kumar show was about to begin
and hell is about to break loose..

Almost without a warning
A hord of people came and gathered in front of our table
completely blocking our view of the show

We got an Indian staff to help us get some clearance
so we could better see the show
and we were happy... for a while...

with occasions of fans coming through
to snap a few quick shots of their idol, Kumar

Ok.. forgiven.
Reasonable and not offended at all.

But it did not take long before
another hord of people came and block our way.

This time a bigger group.
Jonapong asked one of them to move a little so that
he can see the show from the little gap between their shoulders,
but they were oblivious to the request.

So, the Indian staff came back
and told us there's nothing he can do about it
as "IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS!"
I'm sorry but there's no such excuse as - It has always been like this!
You mean the restaurant can afford to lose a table of guest weekly?

However he was tactful, apologized and told us
he would fix up a new table somewhere in front of the stage
before the Kumar's second act
and suggested we could sit on the sofa top for the time being
That is the kind of answer I want to hear.
Good job! (to be continued..)

While all four of us were furious and annoyed,
a tall, lanky and spectacled male staff approached
and said,
"Hey, you either take off your shoe, or don't sit on the sofa!"
No offense, but I think I deserve an apology for the tone.
I've never went to an F&B establishment
and have the staff speak to me in this manner.

Mind you!
I paid to dine here and the money goes to your salary.
Mister, I'm indirectly your boss.

Soon, it was halftime before Kumar's second act.
I went out for a smoke break and returned,
but was stopped at the door by a male staff
who had a piercing on his eye brow, he yelled at me
"Hello? Where's your stamp?"
I replied "Err.. I'm a diner here."
He pointed his index finger at the cashier and ordered,
"Go get your stamp there!"
I said "thanks" and he replied with a nod.

Wow! How rude!
The service here is inconsistent beyond imagination!

Soon.. Kumar's second act started
and we were still stuck at our original seats
blocked by the same hord of people
who don't give half a shite about whether we can see the show,
since they paid their $16/-

Remember the male Indian staff
who promised us a table with a better view?
He disappeared into thin air.
It could be my imagination,
maybe there wasn't an Indian staff for a start..

decided to leave the restaurant and never to return.

I do not blame the unpleasant experience on the rude staff

ITS THE MANAGEMENT'S FAULT - COMPLETELY and INDUBITABLY!
1. The management should have knew that on Mondays, these fans will come and block out the view of the seated diners. They have not done anything about it, to date!
2. The behaviour of the staff depends on the training provided. Obviously - insufficient.
3. Train your staff to GO THE EXTRA MILE, but do not allow them to make empty promises to customers/guests.

But just to make the receipients feel a lot more special
Here are a few consolations:
1. Come on! How long has it been since you last received a Christmas Card? Especially a hand-drawn one.

I went to Nuffnang's G-Force Premier today
at Orchard Shaw House: Lido
Was early, so i grabbed a beef & cheese at Subway

6.30pm
a lot of people were gathered at the pre-arranged time
but none of the counter ladies were here at 6.15pm
when they finally arrived i realised its just a small screening

nevertheless i got my 2 free tickets
thanks to Nuffnang! =D

the movie was screened at Hall 7
a really small and cozy little cinema

Hi, I am part of the responsible citizens of disgustingpeople.blogspot.com. I am also known by Monchhichi for a matter of fact.

I have a really disgusting photo to share with you. Just a few days back, i was at the lavenda IC building(duno the exact name.. is it ICA building?).. yeah.. that was because my father's wallet was being stolen whilst he performed his magic show at the Singapore Food Festival recently so he had to replace his IC. And on this really UNFORTUNATE day, i chanced upon this guy(as seen in the photo).. it was just so unsightly to look at! showing off his "ah ma" or should i say "grandpops" white underwear to the people waiting for their queue numbers. Some things are better left under their clothes, or rather under his PANTS! it was not only a slight peek of the white patch but it was almost HALF OF IT (seems too convincing that it can be part of the pants)... so its really disgusting can. so this is to warn others(cause i understand that now is the hipster fashion and low waist thing that seems cool) BUT PLEASE, i mean really PLEASE wear something more decent if you really intent to "show-off"...

as i look at the unpleasant picture once more, i just think is hilarous and terrifying at the same time!

hey people, sorry for not having the time to blog for a long time,.However, during this period of time i have not stop taking photos of the unethical acts of our fellow Singaporeans. So, these are the updates :)

Some times i just can't understand why parents encourage their children to stand on the bus seats with their shoes on. It's no wonder youngsters these days are just so spolit.

This man was causing so much unnecessary noise on the train with the railings and was also talking loudly on his phone, as if the train wasn't noisy enough.

Hair found within the food of a chinese restaurant isnt the first time, BUT this time it isn't just anyone's regular stray hair.

The women in white seating nearest to the door was trying to be a responsible Singaporean by helping the bus driver to ask the passengers to move to the back. Unfortunately, the black woman standing nearest to the door just refused to move. It's no wonder so many Singaporeans can't be bothered to be helpful anymore.

This was found at just one of the regular bus stops, and i'm thinking if i so happen to just see this once. How many such similar litter will there be around this small island of ours. Not forgetting that they not only attract insects but help in feeding the entire pest population.

Bags on the chair, i bet it isn't your first time you're seeing this. But now it seems like opening legs wide may be the new trend in taking up space in the train!

This woman turned out to be the worst of them all. Guess what she did?

The moment she stepped onto the bus, she approached a guy seating near to the door and actually asked him to get up so that she could actually land her butt on it.

Hoe ridiculous can be people be these days...

i'm back :) yes.more updates!

recently i went to a place called "tian tian huo guo" to eat. thinking that it would be a great experience to eat there, after all they have had many advertisements on celebrities patronizing that place. But i was quite dis-heartened upon entering the place.

firstly, the people didnt bother to greet us. It was only when we started to settle down at one of the table when came a lady asking us what soup we wanted. She told us the different types of soup they were offering, however when we asked her things like which soup is the most popular amongst customers and does the chef have any soup to reccommend, she just shrug us off by saying that all the soups are nice.

the drinks that they offered were all bearly chilled with no ice provided and it was very sweet too.the moment i took the first sip, i was starting to picture myself getting diabetes soon.yes, it's that serious!

whats more is that although they allow you to order the items you want, however after taking your order, the food will take ages to come. you might think that it was because the place was very busy. But in actual fact is that all of them were busy chattering at one corner of the shop. Not only did we had to consatantly asked them when will our food come, but so did the other tables and it seem like there is only one waiter (a young boy that can hardly understand english, even words like "order'' was highly difficult for him to understand) something that i also found absurd in that shop is that, though it was already 2008 they're still giving out 2007 calendars. i guess none of us will ever want to step into that shop again.

which makes me remeber of the other day when i was a street across bugis junction, on new year's day. thinking of eating steamboat,we approached a place and to our dismay, we realised that the restaurant have actually increase the price from the usual $9.90 per person to $21.90.

sometimes i find it really ridiculous, it's like practicing public extortion. thing is, if it wasnt for my friend who couldn't believe that the price of the buffet steamboat can be so cheap. we would have gotten into a black shop.

cases like this is not a matter of whether the customer can afford the food or not but it is the responsibility of the shop owners to actually inform their customers of changes like this.In fact it is more of a whether the shop is actually practicing social responsibilty.

How many of you actually pay close attention to your surrounding while on the public bus?
well, i must say that this aunty i saw was definitely either ignorant or just plain stubborn.

while on the bus to school one day, there was this aunty that happily planted herself onto an empty seat right infront of her, not as if the bus wasnt crowded enough- i was stunt at the moment when not only did she not move in to the inner seat, but she also dumped her groceries onto the seat.

at the moment i really felt like telling her that the bus fare she paid was only enough to pay for her share of the trip and not her groceries. (No offence to aunties or slightly chubby people)

sometimes i feel that some bus captains are very bais against students, because not all the time the students are the one causing the jam on the bus.But it is those inconsiderate people that actually caused space on the bus to be taken up.

hi everyone!

it's bee` here and i'm a new addition to the team behind this blog.

Firstly, i would like to thank ming for actually inviting me to blog along with him.

my main objective of doing so would be to show fellow Singaporeans how ungracious Singaporeans can be and i hope by doing so, more of you would actually be more cautious of your public etiquette.

So let's all work together to build a better image of Singaporeans and also give others a good impression of us.
